Lewis Haldane says Port Vale are thriving with pressure
Winger Lewis Haldane joined Port Vale from Bristol Rovers in September
Lewis Haldane believes Port Vale are producing their best form of the season under the biggest pressure, as they aim for a play-off spot in League Two.
Vale moved into the top seven for the first time this season with a win over champions Notts County last Saturday.
"There's been a lot of pressure on us in the last few games because we needed wins to stay in the race for the play-offs," Haldane told BBC Radio Stoke.
"We're thriving under the pressure and all of us are playing really well."
Vale go to already-promoted Bournemouth on Saturday, before hosting Shrewsbury, who sacked manager Paul Simpson on Friday, in their final game of the season.
Meanwhile, manager Micky Adams says his players deserve to take all the credit if he picks up the League Two manager of the month award for April.
Vale have won four and drawn two of their six matches in the month.
"Players win games and managers lose them," Adams said. "It's a reflection of what the players have done not what I've done.
"If you've won eight before, another one won't matter too much, but I'll find room for it somewhere."
