Bunyan was Stoke's top performer during the 2009 season |
Stoke Potters skipper Jason Bunyan could be out of action for a month after suffering knee ligament damage. Bunyan rode with the problem during Stoke's 49-44 victory against Sheffield in the Premier Trophy at Loomer Road on Saturday and exacerbated the injury. He has been advised to rest after scans revealed the extent of the problem. Wolves rider Ludvig Lindgren will guest for Stoke at Birmingham on Wednesday, although a replacement has yet to be found for Thursday's meeting at Redcar. Without their captain, the Potters claimed their first win of the 2010 season in the final heat against Sheffield. Teenage reserve Taylor Poole top-scored with 13 points on the night, and with able support from Hynek Stichauer [11] and Klaus Jakobsen [10], Stoke tasted victory for the first time in five attempts this season.
