Sheffield Tigers have signed Czech rider Josef Franc for the 2010 Premier League season. Franc impressed for parent club Berwick Bandits in the same division last season with an average of 7.84 points. Team owner Neil Machin said: "There is no doubt he is a quality rider and I like the fact he is a model of consistency in the Premier League. "It's a question of whether we can get it right away from home and Franc can help us with that." Franc joins Ricky Ashworth, Richard Hall, Josh Auty, Hugh Skidmore and Paul Cooper at Owlerton. Machin is now in talks with another rider about completing the line-up at reserve. Meanwhile Joel Parsons has joined Scunthorpe on loan.
