Auty initially joined the Tigers on a year-long loan from the Bees |
Sheffield Tigers have made their fifth signing for next season after agreeing a new contract with teenager Josh Auty. The 19-year-old will remain with the Tigers for a second successive term as part of a loan deal with Elite League team Coventry Bees. Auty's signature means he will line up alongside skipper Ricky Ashworth, Paul Cooper, Richard Hall and Hugh Skidmore for the 2010 Premier League campaign. The South Yorkshire side still need to fill two more spaces before March. Tigers owner Neil Machin said: "Josh is currently racing in Australia but we managed to tie up a deal despite interest from elsewhere. "He had a solid season with us which would have been much better had he been more prolific out of the gate. "But that will come with experience and Josh will look to establish himself as a heat leader next year," he added.
