Auty has joined the Tigers on a year-long loan |
Sheffield Tigers have signed exciting teenager Josh Auty on a season-long loan from Coventry Bees. The 18-year-old spent last season with Premier League rivals Redcar but learned his trade under Tigers boss Eric Boocock. Before turning professional he spent a lot of time riding at Sheffield and so knows the Owlerton Stadium track well. Auty joins Ricky Ashworth, Richard Hall and Joel Parsons in the Tigers' line-up for the 2009 season. Tigers owner Neil Machin said: "Josh didn't have the best of seasons at Redcar. He'll be looking forward to linking up with Eric Boocock again."
