Northern Ireland international Warren Feeney has returned to Cardiff after a month-long loan spell at Championship rivals Sheffield Wednesday.

The 28-year-old striker played just one game during his spell at Hillsborough before Wednesday parted company with manager Brian Laws.

Feeney is out-of-favour at the Bluebirds as made just one league start since joining from Luton in 2007.

"We have got Warren back," confirmed Cardiff boss Dave Jones.

Feeney has played just 23 minutes of football for the Cardiff in 18 months after spending the whole of last season in Scotland at Tannadice, where he scored six times in 26 appearances, while he has also been on loan at Swansea City.

Feeney is behind Michael Chopra, Jay Bothroyd, Ross McCormack and Kelvin Etuhu in the Cardiff pecking order.
