James Walker took second place in Spain |
Jersey driver James Walker finished second in the last race of the 2008 Renault World Series. Competing at the final round in Spain, Walker had his best weekend of the season, finishing seventh in the first race and second in the final race. Walker told BBC Jersey: "It's a fantastic way to finish the year, we were quick all weekend. "We have worked so hard for so long and now to finish on the podium, I am over the moon." The points Walker received from the weekend's racing moved him up from 16th to 13th in the drivers' standings. "I'm very happy with the result, of course it would have been amazing to win but after the recent luck we've had I'm very happy to take second," said Walker.
