Mollin lines up consecutive victories at La Moye

Alex Mollin retained her Jersey Ladies Golf Association matchplay title after a seven and five win over Elaine Pushman at La Moye on Friday.

The division one title was a replay of last year's final with Mollin again claiming victory.

Meanwhile Alison Harte had a comfortable six and five win over Judy Dove in division two.

In division three Julia Pascoe beat Paula Cuttiford by two shots with a hole to spare.

In blustery and wet conditions, Mollin lead throughout the final and by as many as nine shots at one stage.

And having only taken up the sport seven years ago, she was pleased to achieve back-to-back victories.

"I think the first year people thought it was a fluke, so now winning two years running I'm really pleased."

Both Mollin and Pushman are heading to Aland for the Island Games in June.

And Mollin added: "I am really looking forward to the Island Games and the rest of the season now.

"I wasn't sure how this year was going to pan having had shoulder surgery in the winter but I am really pleased with how I am playing."
