Jersey won just one silver medal in the championships

Guernsey fencers took the Channel Island Fencing Championships by storm leaving Jersey with only a single silver medal to their name.

Helen Dack dominated the women's event winning the foil, epee and sabre and the the Master-at-Arms trophy at the Elizabeth College Gym over the weekend.

In the men's competition Pierre Ozanne won the foil, Jamie de Cartaret the epee and Fraser Ward the sabre.

Ward won the Master-at-Arms trophy with his win and two quarter-final placings.
