Five players from Jersey and three from Guernsey have been named in the Channel Islands team to take on Hampshire in Guernsey in April.

Gavin O'Neill, Paul Le Chevalier, Christy McLaughlin, Richard Ramskill and James Birch make up the Jersey contingent in the team.

Guernsey's Channel Island matchplay champion Garry MacFarlane is joined by Bobby Eggo and Jamie Blondel.

The side's non-playing captain is Guernsey skipper Dave Rowlinson.

"This will be a high quality match, the highest handicap CI player is scratch and we are expecting a strong Hampshire team, especially as the CI have won and halved the last two matches," Rowlinson said.
