Davies was the fourth woman this year to enter a men's event |
Laura Davies' challenge at the Korean Open men's event fell flat as she missed the cut by four strokes. Davies' second-round 77 was only one shot better than her first-round effort of 78 and left her 11 over for the event.
"I was here to play a four-round tournament, so I'm disappointed," she said.
"Nothing was bad, but nothing was really good."
Davies, the fourth woman this year to play in a men's tournament, was hoping to become the first to make the cut.
However, after hitting two drivers into the water during her first round, Davies encountered problems with her putting on Friday.
"I had 35 putts today. It's too many, and you're going to miss every cut with 35 putts," said Davies, who registered six bogeys and one birdie in her second round.

"It's a complete contrast from yesterday, because then I putted really well." Davies, a four-time major winner on the LPGA tour, finished 15 strokes behind South Korean Lee Sun-ho, who leads going into the weekend at four under.
Nonetheless, the 40-year-old would not rule out playing in another men's tournament.
"If the right tournament came up, I'd love to play again (with the men) because I know I'm good enough to make the cut," she said.
England's Justin Rose also missed the cut after rounds of 76 and 77.
Earlier this year, Annika Sorenstam became the first woman in 58 years to play on the PGA Tour when she missed the cut at Colonial.
Connecticut club pro Suzy Whaley and Michelle Wie, the 13-year-old amateur from Hawaii, went against the men, but both also failed to go in to the weekend rounds.
