 Sorenstam will have to wait to complete her round |
Annika Sorenstam's hopes of marking her 33rd birthday on Thursday by entering the Hall of Fame were dashed by rain. The Swedish star will become eligible for the LPGA and World Golf Halls of Fame when she completes the first round of the Samsung World Championship.
But heavy rain at the TPC at The Woodlands in Houston eventually forced organisers to abandon play for the day.
Sorenstam has to complete her round to officially complete 10 seasons on the Tour and qualify for the Hall of Fame.
She leads the tour with five wins this season, with South Korean star Se Ri Pak on her heels with three.
