First-round leader Lynnette Brooky disappointed with 17 pars and a solitary bogey, and her 73 left her alone in fifth place. Spaniard Carriedo took advantage of some early sunshine to shoot a four under par 68, as storms delayed many of the players. Australia's Corinne Dibnah was the next player to reach six under with the round of the day, as she fired eight birdies on her way to a 67. Spanish amateur champion Emma Cabrera also joined compatriot Carriedo in a share of the lead with a 69. And France's Karine Icher was not troubled by a 40-minute delay due to lightning, rattling off four birdies and a bogey for a three-under 69. Four players are tied in sixth place on four under. |
