I was given man of the match so it was special occasion
Losing 4-0 against Histon was a big disappointment!
I was really hoping we could do Torquay a favour by beating them. It was a tough match, but I don't think they deserved to win by such a big margin.
But, we beat fellow strugglers Woking 1-0 on Tuesday night which was a great result for Salisbury.
It was good to get a clean sheet and I was given man of the match so it was special occasion.
There's not a great deal of difference between Salisbury and Torquay. Obviously Salisbury are down at the bottom of the table, but there's a great set of lads here and training is very lively.
Being at the bottom of the league is a challenge because things don't come so easy. It can be hard to get the points you deserve sometimes when decisions go against you. Football is about confidence, and with a little bit of tweaking we could get a good run going.
As I wrote last week, I recently got married, so being away from home is not ideal. I'm travelling up to Salisbury for a few days a week and staying in digs with some of the other lads - then it's back to see the family in Cullompton. I'm back and forward like a yo-yo at the minute, but it's something you've got to do in football.
Moving away from your family is always a big step, especially when you have to travel around the country. Trying to settle into different places is not easy for a footballer because you're always straight into training and matches.
At Salisbury I've settled in well because all the players and coaching staff have been so good. And getting to play three games in a week has been brilliant for me.
Torquay got a great result against Altrincham last weekend which has kept them in the play-offs. There's an even bigger match coming up now against Kettering on Saturday.
