Buckle was disappointed with his side at Southport

Torquay United manager Paul Buckle admits his side deserved to lose 3-0 to Blue Square North side Southport in the last 16 of the FA Trophy on Saturday.

Steve Daly scored in the 12th and 74th minutes and Kevin Lee got a third with 10 minutes left to knock the Gulls out at Haig Avenue.

"I'm very disappointed and we didn't deserve anything on the day," Buckle told BBC Radio Devon.

"It wasn't a great game of football in awful conditions."

"But they adapted better than us and they deserved their win," he said.
