Getting back makes you think about life a bit more. I'm getting married next month so things are looking up
It's great to be back in training for the first time in what seems like ages.
When I was diagnosed with leukaemia it was hard not to train.
I've been a pro for about 10 years and training everyday is something you take for granted. To be back with the lads is very special for me.
I'm a defender and I enjoy the physical side of things - that's what I do - and on the first day I was there putting myself around.
I may not have been quite as quick as I was before because I'm trying to get back to match fitness, but I was still there giving my all and it won't take me long to get back to my best.
When you are out negative thoughts can creep in and you wonder if you will ever play again, but knowing the way I am I always told myself I'd be back and it's come around a lot earlier than I expected.
Todd returns to training
Getting back makes you think about life a bit more. I've got my daughter and my fiance who I'm marrying next month so things are looking up.
Now I just want to get back on that football field winning games because that will make me so happy.
We've got a key game against Wrexham on Friday night and after that the FA Cup fourth round tie against Coventry City.
It should be great atmosphere at Plainmoor, the club has never been any further than round four of the cup, so maybe we can do something special next week.
Chris Todd was talking to BBC South West's Brent Pilnick.
