Torquay United defender Chris Todd has said he could be back playing football by March after being diagnosed with chronic myeloid leukaemia.
In his BBC online diary the 27-year-old confirmed he will not need a bone marrow transplant because he is able to take the drug Glivek.
Todd said: "I have the right genetic make-up to use Glivek. It is a form of chemotherapy, but a milder dose.
"I could be back playing football within three or four months."
