Macclesfield Town capture goalkeeper Jack Cudworth
Macclesfield have completed the signing of goalkeeper Jack Cudworth after the player impressed whilst on trial.
The 19-year-old keeper joins on a one-year deal and will be challenging Jose Veiga for a first-team spot.
Manager Gary Simpson told the club's website: "I've been wanting to get a second keeper on the books and I'm delighted to get him on board."
Cudworth started at Preston as a youth player and spent last season in the Welsh league with Rhyl and Welshpool.
Simpson added: "Jack's only nineteen and played close to 50 games last season in the Welsh Premier League.
"He's earned himself a contract and it is our job to help him improve as a player. If that happens then we'll have two very good keepers on the books."
The club also confirmed that Paul Morgan will captain the side this season and will be assisted by Nat Brown.
