Macclesfield Town have signed former Sheffield United midfielder Sam Wedgbury on a one-year deal.
The 21-year-old defensive midfielder began his career with Blue Square Bet North side Worcester City before joining Sheffield United in 2006.
Wedgbury was loaned to Hungarian second tier club Ferencvaros for the 2008/09 season and he helped them earn promotion to the top flight.
He returned to Hungary last season but his second spell was ended by injury.
