Worcester City youngster Sam Wedgbury has joined Sheffield United on a scholarship for an undisclosed five figure fee. The 16-year-old joined City last summer and became their youngest ever scorer in his first team debut.
The midfielder, who has made 18 first team appearances, will be loaned back to City for the rest of the season.
As part of the deal the Blades will send a full first team to St George's Lane for a pre-season friendly.
