Mansfield Town are waiting to discover the full extent of the injury sustained by on-loan midfielder Sam Wedgbury.

The 19-year-old chipped a bone in his leg in the Stags' 2-1 home defeat by Wrexham on Saturday.

Wedgbury signed for Mansfield on a month's loan from Championship side Sheffield United on Friday.

The defensive midfielder was the club's third signing in a week, after goalkeeper David Knight and Nottingham Forest striker Emile Sinclair.
