Macclesfield have completed the signing of midfielder Matthew Hamshaw after the player impressed while on trial.
The 28-year-old came through the Sheffield Wednesday academy and has also had spells at Stockport County, Mansfield and Notts County.
Hamshaw played 24 times last season for the Magpies where he picked up a League Two winners' medal.
He managed two goals and three assists during his trial period and has been handed a one-year deal.
