Macclesfield have signed midfielder Lewis Chalmers on a one-year deal following his release by Aldershot.
The 24-year-old ended last season on loan at Oxford, playing eight times, although he did not feature in their Blue Square Premier play-off campaign.
He started his first-team career at Altrincham and joined Aldershot in 2007, making 99 appearances for them before being let go this summer.
He has won promotion with both Alty and the Shots.
