Walsall have signed Macclesfield keeper Jonny Brain on a one-year deal.
The 27-year-old was voted the Silkmen's players' player of the year last season and made 143 appearances for the club.
Brain began at his hometown club of Carlisle before moving to Newcastle in 1999, then Port Vale in 2003 and Macclesfield three years later.
"He has done well over the last few years and has decent experience. He is looking to improve and is a good age," said Saddlers boss Chris Hutchings.
"I've spoken to a number of people about him and it's clear he is a good keeper who is just coming into his prime."
