FA Cup fourth round round-up

Manchester United sent out an ominous FA Cup warning as they thrashed Premiership rivals West Ham to cruise into the fifth round.

United's 6-0 demolition of the hapless Hammers was the pick of Sunday's FA Cup ties.

Ryan Giggs, with only one goal in his previous 25 games for United, scored twice, as did Ruud van Nistelrooy.

Liverpool were held to a goalless draw by First Division Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

In a game of few chances, Palace nearly snatched a dramatic late victory, only for Tony Popovic to see his header flicked over the bar by Emile Heskey.

Megson saw his West Brom side crash at Watford

Watford claimed a Premiership scalp in the shape of struggling West Brom, who were despatched 1-0 at Vicarage Road.

But the fairytale runs of non-league sides Farnborough and Dagenham & Redbridge came to an end.

Farnborough were beaten 5-1 by Arsenal at Highbury and Daggers went down to a last-minute goal at Norwich.

Southampton were rescued by a last-minute equaliser from Kevin Davies against Millwall.

Gillingham held Leeds to a 1-1 draw and Premiership rivals Sunderland and Blackburn fought out a 3-3 draw at Ewood Park.

Wolves had few problems disposing of Leicester as they won 4-1, while Sheffield United triumphed 4-3 in a thriller with Ipswich.

The other all-First Division game saw Walsall edge out Wimbledon 1-0 at the Bescot Stadium.
