Town lift the Paul Henry Gold Cup

Football

Castletown lifted the Paul Henry Gold Cup at Douglas Road on Tuesday after thrashing Marown 4-0 in the final.

Striker Michael Edge netted a superb hat-trick for Mark Teare's recently promoted side and Karl Clark rounded of a fantastic season for the southerners.

The Castletown manager believes his side can now look forward to life in the Sure Mobile Premier League.

"If we can keep this squad together and continue with the right attitude we've got half a chance," Teare said.

"We are aware of our weaknesses and we could do with a couple of new faces but we've got a great set of lads here and the club is heading in the right direction."
