Peel retain the JCK Junior Cup

Football

Peel retained the JCK Junior Cup on Saturday after beating St. Mary's 4-2 on penalties at Ballacloan, Ramsey.

Despite several presentable chances for both sides neither could register in normal time and extra-time proved equally fruitless.

Acting as stand-in keeper St. Mary's manager and former island striker Peter Langridge performed heroics.

Peel finally got the better of man-of-the-match Langridge in the penalty shoot-out going on to win 4-2.

The Westerners will complete the double if St. Georges fail to beat DHSOB in their final match of the season.
