The Isle of Man's senior football team continued its preparations for the summer's Island Games at the weekend with a winning tour of the North West.
Kevin Manning's side started the tour with a 6-1 win over Northern Premier League side Cammell Laird on Saturday.
The Manx side included several new faces and led 2-1 at half-time through Rushen duo Aaron Hawley and Josh Kelly.
In the second half, a more experienced line-up added goals from Stephen Glover (2), Kevin Megson and Chris Bass.
The Island side then beat West Cheshire League runners-up Runcorn Town 2-0 on Sunday.
Calum Morrissey opened the scoring with one of the goals of the season before McVey sealed the win.
Manning said: "I am very happy with how the team performed.
"We introduced eight new faces and the blend of youth and experience is looking good for [the Island Games in] Aland.
"I am confident if we perform to the best of our ability we will be in with a chance of a medal."
The men's football team have been drawn in Group D for the Island Games along with the Falklands, Gotland and the Western Isles.
The women have been drawn in Group B and face Guernsey, Hitra, Isle of Wight and the Western Isles.
The Games take place between 27 June and 4 July.
