Castletown win Division Two title

Castletown finished with a six-point advantage over Laxey

Castletown ladies were crowned Sure Mobile Division Two champions on Thursday after defeating in-form Ramsey 5-2 at Ballacloan Stadium.

Sarah Denny (2), Emma Davenport, Tricia Fleming and Donna Primrose-Smith all found the net to seal the win and the league title.

Kealey Hawthorn and Molly Canavan were on target for Ramsey.

Meanwhile, Rushen United maintained their Division One lead with a convincing 6-1 win over Gymnasium.

Gymns opened the scoring through Zoe Carney before goals from Donna Harrison (4) and Hannah Biggerstaff (2) sealed the three points.

Elsewhere, Douglas Royal thrashed Peel 9-0 at Groves Road to keep their hopes of a domestic treble alive.

Donna Shimmin (4), Bekki Cole (2), Kym Hicklin, Sarah Breen and Leanne Ashe were on target for the Noble's Park outfit.
