Visa relief for Nigeria captain

Cricket

Nigeria will be at full strength for the start of World Cricket League Division Seven tournament in Guernsey.

The British High Commission initially issued visas to 14 players and manager Ladipo Idowu, but not to captain Adewale Adeoye or coach Ewa Henshaw.

They were finally approved on Friday afternoon and the trio should arrive in time for Sunday's game with Suriname.

But Idowu said: "We've not had any time to train in the UK, acclimatisation is a major part of performance in sports."

He added: "We had six warm up matches lined up, none of these have happened now."
