Gibraltar wary of Guernsey rain

Askew thinks the Guernsey weather will play its part

Gibraltar's national cricket coach believes weather interruptions will affect the outcome of the World Cricket League Division Seven in Guernsey.

Like the hosts, the Gibraltarians will be competing at world cricket level for the first time from 17 May.

"The guys are going to have to get used to net run-rates and trying to play tactically," said coach Richard Askew.

"That time of year in the Channel Islands, it's probably going to be very much like the UK," he said.

"I can see that rain-affected matches might have something to do with it."
