Rainfall halts play on first day

Guernsey v Japan
Guernsey bowled seven overs against Japan before the game was stopped

All three matches on the first day of the ICC World Cricket League Division Seven tournament in Guernsey were affected by torrential rain.

Gibraltar bowled the first ball of the tournament on Sunday but their match against Bahrain was halted after just 13 overs.

Guernsey and Japan managed seven overs while the game between Suriname and Nigeria did not even get underway.

All the games have been rescheduled for Tuesday, which is a reserve play day.
