Jersey's cricketers went down by eight runs to a Tanzanian Development XI in their warm-up Twenty20 game ahead of World Cricket League Division Four. Tanzania batted first and were reduced to 60-7 but rallied to 100-8 off their 20 overs. In reply, Jersey got off to a solid start and retired opening batsmen Peter Gough and Steve Carlyon in order to give other players time at the crease. In the end, the island fell eight runs short of a victory. The island opens its WCL Division Four campaign against the full Tanzania side on Saturday.
