Pakistan won the under-19 World Cup in Bangladesh, beating West Indies by 25 runs in front of thousands of their ecstatic fans in Dhaka.

Asif Iqbal hit the match's only half-century and spinners Tariq Mahmood and Jahangir Mirza were the heroes.

West Indies, who had chances to win the match themselves, tossed wickets away with some appalling running between the wickets at crucial stages.

They were bowled out for 205 with 11 balls remaining in the match.

48th over: A fourth run-out, this time of Rampaul, brings the match to an end.
West Indies 205 all out

47th over: Mahmood gets one to turn and Matthew is stumped.
West Indies 203-9

46th over: Amjad bowls a fine over to restrict the batsmen to just one run.

45th over: Another wicket falls as Liam Sebastien is run out by a brilliant throw at the wicket by Zulgarnain.

44th over: Afridi makes a crucial breakthrough for Pakistan when he traps Ramdin plum lbw for 36.

32nd over: Augustus finds a welcome boundary for the West Indies off the bowling of Mirza.

30th over: The run rate climbs to 5.58 per over for the West Indies and the pressure is telling on the batsmen.

10th over: Off-spinner Qadir is brought into Pakistan's attack and stems the flow of boundaries.

9th over: Afridi is taking a pounding. Maraj finds the boundary twice as 10 runs come off the over.

8th over: Maraj takes the boundary tally so far to five as the openers continue to find the runs freely.

7th over: Marshall once again punishes the attack, clubbing Afridi for another four.

6th over: A better over for Pakistan with just two runs coming off Pasha.

5th over: Maraj and Marshall continue to push the score along comfortably.

4th over: Maraj finds the boundary again, this time off Pasha, as the West Indies make a fine start.

3rd over: Maraj notches his first four with a fine stroke through the covers off Afridi.

2nd over: Marshall hits a boundary off Pasha's first delivery, but bowls a tight line thereafter.

1st over: Afridi bowls a tight first over for Pakistan as West Indies get off the mark with three runs from Marshall.

50th over: Haider finishes the innings in style as he hits a boundary to end unbeaten on 23 with Pakistan posting a creditable 230-9 off their 50 overs.

49th over: The last pair add six vital runs for Pakistan to take the score over 220.

48th over: Matthew snaps up the wicket of Amjad, who skies a catch to the wicket-keeper as the ninth wicket falls.

45th over: Fawad becomes the seventh wicket to fall when he is caught in the deep for 10.

4th over: Another over where no boundary is conceded but Pakistan are happy not to have conceded an early wicket.

2nd over: Matthew begins his spell in fine style as he bowls a maiden over.

1st over: Rampaul struggles to find his line, conceding two wides down the leg side and one outside off stump. Latif collects the first run off the bat with a glance to fine leg.
