Bangladesh bowled Scotland out cheaply in the Under-19 World Cup 2004 to win by 91 runs and qualify for the Plate Championship final against Australia. Despite the comfortable winning margin, Bangladesh did not have everything their own way in the Dhaka semi-final.
The hosts stuttered to 197 all out in 49.5 overs as six different Scotland bowlers picked up wickets.
But Scotland could only muster 106 in reply, with Nazmul Hossain picking up four wickets for just 11 runs.
Scotland skipper Kyle Coetzer top-scored for his side, making a patient 41.
"The tournament has been a good experience for us as our players have never played on pitches like these or in these sort of weather conditions," said Scotland coach Willie Morton.
"It has certainly been very different from Scotland and it has been good for us."
Bangladesh will take on Australia in the Plate final at the Fatullah District Stadium near Dhaka on Thursday.
In the main competition, England face West Indies in Tuesday's semi-final for the chance to fight Pakistan for the title.
