England's bid to reach the Under-19 World Cup final came to nothing in Dhaka as they lost by 95 runs to West Indies.

Chasing a victory target of 250, they were all out for 155 in the 40th over.

A dashing 72 by captain Denesh Ramdin provided the foundation for the West Indies total of 249-6.

But the real acceleration came from Zamal Khan, who made 60 not out off 49 balls and they now go through to face Pakistan in Friday's final.

40th over: The game ends with a brilliant run out by Simmons who throws down the stumps at the bowler's end to dismiss last man Lawson while lying on the ground after making a diving stop. England 155 (Lawson 1)

39th over: Stiff adds a single to the England total with an off-drive.

35th over: Hildreth gets down the wicket to Bachan, just beating the long-on fielder with his drive.

34th over: Hildreth picks off-spinner Zamal over midwicket for a welcome boundary. New matches him with one over the covers.

33rd over: Tailend duo New and Hildreth keep the scoreboard ticking with some improvised shots.

32nd over: The third umpire is called in after New looks for a quick single. The England wicket-keeper is lucky to get off the mark for the tournament.

31st over: Hildreth gets off the mark with a couple.

30th over: Bresnan is run out as a result of a fielding mix-up. Patel refuses a single but the burly Yorkshireman cannot turn around in time to beat the throw from gully.

13th over: A mis-timed pull from Davies falls inches short of bowler Simmons' grasp.

12th over: The England batsmen struggle to find their timing on a slow pitch, but a fielding lapse at point allows Cook to take two despite a mix-up with partner Davies.

11th over: Cook is deceived by a slower ball from Simmons and appears fortunate when umpire Parker turns down the wicket-keeper's appeal for a catch.

10th over: Davies drives in uncertain fashion at a ball from Matthew and is lucky to collect one to third man from a thick edge.
