Tinashe Panyangara was man of the match for Zimbabwe
On a day of upsets in the Under-19 World Cup, Zimbabwe beat Australia and Nepal toppled South Africa.

After a seven-wicket loss, Australia must beat Sri Lanka on Friday to keep their title defence alive.

India strengthened their challenge with a 69-run victory over New Zealand, bowling the Kiwis out for 146 in Dhaka.

West Indies' 152-run win over Papua New Guinea secured fellow Group D side Pakistan's place in the Super League stage at Ireland's expense.

Zimbabwe's Tinashe Panyangara claimed 6-31, the second-best bowling figures in the tournament's history, to bowl Australia out for a team record low 73.

In front of a full house of 15,000 in Bogra, Zimbabwe took just 18 overs to topple the total.

It was a remarkable batting collapse after openers Tim Paine (19) and Theo Doropoulos (26) had helped Australia to 50-1 after 10 overs.

But their other eight batsmen managed only seventeen runs between them, Elton Chingumbura picking up the remaining four wickets.

"Our morale is now very high. We played very well today and we hope to do the same in our next matches," said Zimbabwe captain Tinotenda Mawoyo.

Australia coach Bennett King said: "Everything about their game was perfect. I can't remember a game where we have been so completely dominated."

Nepal squeezed past South Africa off the final delivery of their match.

Shashi Kesari hit a boundary off the penultimate delivery and a single off the last one to finish 51 not out.

But the damage was done earlier, when Manjeet Shrestha claimed 4-15 to bowl the Republic out for 156, despite Keagan Africa's unbeaten 52.

Nepal coach Roy Dias was delighted, saying: "We have come to this tournament with the attitude that we will treat every match like a final and that is what we did today."

Praveen Gupta and Rudrapa Singh claimed two wickets each for India to bowl New Zealand out for just 146.

India could not complete their overs but had managed 215, Sunny Singh leading the way with 68 not out.

West Indies had little trouble defending a massive total despite Asad Vala's 84 not out for Papua New Guinea.

Tishan Maraj and Lendl Simmons both hit centuries on the way to 371-3.
