At just 20 years old, Jelena Dokic has already picked up five WTA titles and was a top-10 regular last season.
This year though, she has rather lost her way and has been the victim of a number of surprising upsets.
Her loss to Slovenian Tina Pisnik in the second round of the French Open added insult to injury as she slipped out of the top five and she has now lost her place in the top 20 after a third-round defeat at Wimbledon and some indifferent form on the US hard court season.
The troubled youngster, now travelling without her controversial father, hired coach Heinz Gunthardt, who used to work with Steffi Graf, in a bid to turn her form around.
But it failed to have the desired effect and she has now turned to little-known Croatian Barna Bikic.
Though she managed a quarter-final appearance in Stanford, Dokic is still a shadow of the player who burst onto the tennis scene with a stunning first-round defeat of world number one Martina Hingis at Wimbledon.
