Teenage swimming sensation Lauren Newton won her second Deaflympic gold medal in Melbourne on Wednesday with victory in the 100m breaststroke. The 16-year-old Briton, who won the 50m breaststroke on Sunday, clocked one minute 17.41 seconds to finish more than a second ahead of the field.
Elsewhere at the Games, British tennis duo Daniel Tunstall and Alex Simmons claimed bronze in the mixed doubles.
But Brit Bela Hegedus's table tennis medal bid ended in the first round.
The Hungarian-born player won three of his four pool matches on Sunday to qualify for the main draw, but was beaten 9-11 11-7 5-11 10-12 by Kwang Eun Park of Korea on Wednesday.
Newton's medal was Britain's second swimming gold of the Games and the fourth medal to have been won in the pool.
Also in the pool, Niall Nesbitt came fifth in the men's 400m individual medley final, and Britain finished sixth in the 400m medley relay final.
