Britain picked up two more medals at the Deaflympics in Melbourne when Lauren Peffers and Candy Hawkins took silver and bronze in the women's 1500m. "I am very pleased and very proud for Lauren and Candy," said Craig Crowley, chairman of UK Deaf Sport.
"I am confident their well-earned results will inspire their fellow GB athletes to achieve their bests now."
Earlier on Saturday, the women's football team come from behind to snatch a 3-3 draw with Russia.
Damaris Cooke gave Britain the lead on 37 minutes, before Clare Davies scored her third goal of the tournament.
But Russia, who had beaten Australia 10-0, bounced back to score three times in a 20-minute period after half-time.
It fell to Susan McKeown to snatch GB a deserved draw moments from the end, leaving her side second in the six-team group behind the Russians.
Great Britain beat Norway in their first game and will next play Australia on 10 January.
And the British team almost earned a fourth medal of the Games when Wolverhampton's Matthew Butler finished fifth in the men's 1500m.
