Ten-pin bowler Ray Lay's hopes of victory at the Deaflympics ended on Saturday when he finished outside the medals in the men's Masters event. The 52-year-old finished eighth in the the final event of the Games at the Sunshin Bowling Centre.
Lay had qualified in second place for the Masters, which is open to just the Top 16 bowlers.
He finished with an overall total of 3195 points (198.10 average), having won nine of his 16 games.
