Teenage swimming sensation Lauren Newton won Britain's second Deaflympic gold medal in Melbourne on Sunday. Newton, who only turned 16 on Boxing Day, cruised to victory in the women's 50m breaststroke, setting a new deaf world record.
In Sunday's night's final, she clocked 35.73 seconds to finish two-tenths ahead of Aksana Petrushenka of Belarus.
Elsewhere, GB beat Greece 2-0 in their final Group D match to reach the men's football quarter-finals.
Lee Farrell and Oliver Willcox both scored to allow Britain to finish top of their group with a 100% record on nine points.
They are set to face Group B runners-up Turkey in Monday's quarter-finals.
On the athletics track, Lauren Peffers and Candy Hawkins following up their medal-winning display in the 1500m by finishing as the fastest and third fastest qualifers respectively for the women's 800m final.
Peffers claimed the 1500m silver on Saturday, with Hawkins taking bronze.
