Andy Booth also had spells at Sheffield Wednesday and Tottenham
Huddersfield Town striker Andy Booth has announced he will retire at the end of the season.
The 35-year-old has made more than 400 appearances for the club in two spells spanning more than 12 years.
Booth told the club website: "Anything over the age of 30 is a bonus, but to still be playing at 35 and still be at Huddersfield means a lot to me."
He will now take on an ambassadorial role at the Galpharm Stadium working with the club's commercial team.
Booth graduated through the club's youth system at Leeds Road before making his debut away to Fulham in March 1992.
He scored 53 goals for the Terriers before a high profile £2.7m move to Sheffield Wednesday in 1996.
He stayed at Hillsborough until 2001 before moving back to Huddersfield and helped his home-town club secure promotion in the 2003/04 season.
I think for everyone involved at the club, the next few years will be very exciting indeed and it is great to be involved

With 450 appearances for the Terriers, "Boothy" is fourth in the club's all-time appearance list, and third in their goalscoring charts with 148 goals to his name.
"I always had it in my mind that this was going to be my last season," he said.
"We haven't made it to play-offs this season but we will finish in a good position and I knew that I'd finish at the end of the season."
Booth now has two games left to reach the 150 goal mark for Huddersfield, although they will keep his registration for next season, but whether he will pull on the famous blue and white striped shirt again remains doubtful.
"I've played OK in the last couple of games and it is great to be able to finish the season and finish my career on a high, but it hasn't tempted me to change my mind.
"I know how my body feels and I couldn't put it through another full season of games and training.
"It's going to be nice to have a rest on a weekend. I'll be down here at every home game and it will be great to be able to watch the lads and support them.
"If they need any advice, I'll still be around the club. I played for 20 years and if they want any help or advice I'll be here to give it."
