Booth's 175,000 Terriers return
Andy Booth
Andy Booth is on his way out of Hillsborough
Huddersfield have re-signed striker Andy Booth in a 175,000 deal from Sheffield Wednesday.

Booth, who has just completed a one-month loan deal at Tottenham, started his career with the Terriers and was a hero among the fans.

The move comes just weeks after Owls boss Peter Shreeves said Booth would not be leaving Hillsborough before the end of the season.

Booth has signed a three-year deal at the McAlpine Stadium and insisted the Terriers can avoid relegation.

"I am sure we can stay up," said the 27-year-old hitman.

"What the club needs in this position is experience, and I hope I can bring that - plus score a few goals as well."

"I have never made a secret of my love for Huddersfield and as soon as I knew they were interested that was it," he added.

"You never know what will happen it football, but I always hoped I would end up back at Huddersfield one day.

"When I left I was a raw, young lad and had gone as far as I could at the club. I needed to have a crack at the Premiership. I've done that now, and the time was right to come back."
