Sculthorpe was banned for seven days for his misdemeanour |
Wakefield prop Danny Sculthorpe has joined Super League rivals Huddersfield on loan until the end of the season. The 29-year-old missed Sunday's 54-6 mauling by the Giants after being disciplined for drinking beer on the way back from a defeat at Harlequins. Fellow front rower Michael Korkidas, 28, moves in the opposite direction for a second stint at Belle Vue. Giants coach Nathan Brown said: "Danny offers different traits to what we've got and the move benefits everyone." Although Sculthorpe will be available for the rest of the Giants' League campaign, he is ineligible for Sunday's Challenge Cup quarter-final against Castleford, having played for Wakefield in the earlier rounds. | 606: DEBATE |
Korkidas, who scored 11 tries in 109 appearances for the Wildcats between 2003-06, moved to Huddersfield at the start of this season but had found himself behind Eorl Crabtree, Darrell Griffin, Paul Jackson and Keith Mason in the Giants' front-row pecking order.
