Wakefield have suspended scrum-half Danny Brough and prop Danny Sculthorpe following a breach of club discipline.

The duo have been banned for a week and will not be available for Sunday's Super League game with Huddersfield.

"I am very disappointed with the actions of both players," said Wildcats head coach John Kear.

"Both players have been disciplined and our main focus is now on preparing the team for this weekend's home tie with Huddersfield Giants."

The club have not commented on the nature of the offences, but the incident will heighten speculation over the future of both players.

Huddersfield recently confirmed their interest in signing Brough, 26, while Sculthorpe, 29, is out of contract at the end of the season.
