Leaders York go four points clear

YPL Trophy and Marcus Wood
York have won the YPL Trophy three times under skipper Marcus Wood

Yorkshire Premier League champions York moved four points clear of Yorkshire Academy at the top after beating Sheffield United at Clifton Park.

United were dismissed for 182 thanks largely to Ashley Hume's 7-50.

The League's top run scorer Dan Wilson made 121 not out, his second century in a row, as York won by ten wickets.

Yorkshire Academy beat Scarborough at North Marine Road, but Scarborough's tail hung on to deny the Academy the full eight points and help York.

Joe Root hit a century for the Academy as they posted 271. Scarborough closed on 201-9, enough to claim one point for reaching 70% of the Academy's total.

Harrogate achieved their third win of the season as they beat Rotherham by 36 runs at Clifton Lane.

Harrogate posted 208-8, with opener John Proud 46 and James Tattersal 35. Rotherham were dismissed for 172, so Harrogate claimed the full eight points.
