The one-day batsman par excellence, Bevan is the best 'finisher' in one-day internationals.
He has amassed a remarkable 44 half-centuries and six tons after a Test career cut short after just 18 matches.
A staggering average above 50 is testament to how Bevan values his wicket so dearly.
He paces his innings slowly at first with some deft pushes through the infield. Then he unleashes the bigger shots when the run rate mounts.
There was no better illustration of his skill than on the slow Port Elizabeth pitch in the World Cup match against England when he brought the Aussies home from a desperate position.
