Hornchurch returned to winning ways after a 2-0 National League victory over Eastleigh.

The hosts produced a convincing display, with goals in both halves being enough to prevent Eastleigh from drawing level on points with the east London outfit.

Dominic Poleon put Hornchurch ahead in the 25th minute as he cut in and slotted past Nick Townsend after being sent in down the left flank by Will Greenidge.

Jack Baldwin then scored the second for the hosts in the 62nd minute when he powered home a strong header from an Alfie Massey corner.
