Images 0f The Sanday Agricultural and Industrial Show, 2007

The Sanday Agricultural and Industrial Show was held on Friday 3rd August this year. Though the weather could have been better it was lucky to be just before the foot and mouth restrictions. Here are a few photographs from the show.

Great pics. I just love those Siamese sheep with the dark heads and legs. The animals all look in great shape, and the veg section is mouth-watering. You seem to have had a dry day, although I notice that everyone is well kitted up for rain.

Nice photos. Thank you. In the county fairs in the States, I would expect more tomatoes and beans to be shown. Also, I do not see any chili/hot peppers: I guess there is not much interest in them on the island... Here, life is not deemed worth living without some hot chili peppers every day (in stews, salsa or just by themselves).

Despite uncomfortable weather conditions a great show again. Congratulations! What we liked best again was the horse section with our friends' two horses Almanac Jack and Charlie, ridden by Jackie Sinclair and our daughter Maresa. Two really excellent horses! But compliments nevertheless to this year's winners in the other sections. Really terrific animals.

Charlie is a darling...and a very handsome one too!

Great to see the picture of my former horse Almanac Jack still looking well. Still thought of and missed. Well done Jackie !
